Brief Profile:
Selasi is a member of Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management, UK and has 8 years’ experience in environmental sanitation assessment and auditing, field operation/surveys, pre and post WASH related contracts management, construction supervision, development of facility operation and maintenance management plans and community (mainly urban poor, rural areas and small towns) WASH infrastructure upgrading schemes; WASH data (primary and secondary) collection and analysis; preparing of proposals, organizing and presenting papers and research findings.

He has undertaken a research study on the Analysis of Refuse Generation and How to Improve Collection at Household Level and Communal Container Transfer in Sabon Zongo.  He carried out environmental sanitation assessment and audits for small towns in Greater Accra and Central Regions of Ghana leading to the development of Town Environmental Sanitation Development Plans (TESDPs) and accompanying financing packages for the identified project interventions.  He has been involved preparation of National Environmental Sanitation Strategy and Action Plan (NESSAP) in which he supervised data (collected from the DESSAP field survey) capture onto the WasteCare MIS-MINT*ESAA programme.  He was also engaged by Water, Engineering and Development Centre, Loughborough University, UK to analyse USAID’s Demographic Health Survey (DHS) Country Data for Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania and Rwanda to determine access to services including- Electricity, Water, Sanitation, and Mobile Phones as part of EU Commission’s Rurban Africa – African Rural-City Connections Project.  The analysis involved determination of access by rural/urban settlement, geo-political regions and wealth indices/quintiles.
